Event Description

Hacktoberfest Hack Day in Frankfurt

Join us for a day of building with open-source AI. This Hacktoberfest 2026 Hack Day brings students and anyone curious about open source together to explore open-weight models, open-source tools, and hands-on hacking.

Whether you're writing your first line of code or you're an experienced developer, there's a place for you here. No prior AI experience needed. Join as a team or on your own.

It's less about finishing everything and more about enjoying the process. Let's see what we can build together in a few hours!

What to expect:
- Hands-on hacking with open-source AI tools and open-weight models
- Food to keep you going
- Short project demos (2-3 min) at the end of the day
- Prizes for the Best Open-Source AI Project & Best Use of Gemma 4
- A fun, friendly community vibe

What to bring:
- Your laptop, charger, and a GitHub account. Bring your curiosity too, you don't need to be an AI expert to take part.

Seats are limited, so register early!

Come build, learn, and celebrate open source with us. Happy hacking!
