Event Description

Hacktoberfest 2026 is a global celebration of open-source software and developer collaboration, bringing together students, developers, and technology enthusiasts to contribute to real-world projects and build new solutions. The event will be organized as a focused, 12-hour in-person hackathon where participants (aged 13-19) can learn about open-source development, collaborate in teams, experiment with open-source AI and open-weight models, and create working projects.

The event is designed for participants aged 13–19 and aims to make coding and open-source development accessible to students of all experience levels. Through workshops, mentorship, hands-on building, interactive activities, and project showcases, participants will gain practical development experience, collaborate with peers, compete in coding challenges, and engage with the wider global developer community.
