UoM Hacktoberfest 2026 is officially live! 🎃
We're hosting an in-person hack day on Sunday 11th October at the SU Theatre, doors open at 12pm. Spend the day building with open source tools, exploring new technologies, and shipping something you're proud of alongside fellow hackers.
We've got a guest talk from Cloud Native Manchester, lunch provided, and a closing ceremony to celebrate what we've all built.
All skill levels welcome — bring your laptop, bring your curiosity, and let's build something together.

12:00 - Doors open & check-in
12:15 - Welcome & opening ceremony
12:30 - Intro to open source contribution
13:00 - Hacking begins 🛠️ + Lunch served
13:30 - Guest talk: Encouraging OSS contribution (Cloud Native Manchester)
14:00 - Open hacking continues
17:30 - Project submissions close
18:00 - Demos & closing ceremony
18:30 - Prizes & wrap up
20:00 - Venue closes
