Hacktoberfest events are happening all month long so you can join your friends day or night, from dusk to dawn, as you work to complete your pull/merge requests. CTRL + Chat is a student-led tech initiative based at the University of Hertfordshire, running both a podcast and now a hackathon program open to student builders from all backgrounds. It grew out of a successful AI Workshop and mini-hackathon run in April 2026 as an official MLH Hack Day, and is now expanding into two events this October, in partnership with Major League Hacking.
