[GHW Builder's Week] Cursor and Grok Bot 101 & Demo

Event Description

Curious about how AI can make your life easier as a student, hacker, and future software engineer? Join Shardul Marathe for an introduction Cursor and Grok Bot.

In this session, Shardul will break down the fundamentals of both tools and share a live demo of how she uses them in her everyday routine. Rather than just looking at theoretical code, you’ll get to see real-world, practical workflows built specifically for students, from streamlining class projects and personal hacks to supercharging your internship hunt and recruiting prep.

Whether you're completely new to AI-assisted coding or looking for smart ways to work faster during hackathons, this session will show you how to start using Cursor and Grok Bot right away.

Livestreams and Mini Events

Throughout GHW, we'll have daily workshops live-streamed on our Twitch to give you the chance to pick up new skills and build something together with the community. In between workshops, we'll run mini-events in the MLH Community Discord for you to join in and meet friends as you take a break from hacking.

Challenges and Points

At GHW: BUILDERS Week we will have plenty of challenges to keep you busy. Challenges will range from social challenges urging you to connect with other members of the community, technical challenges that will expand your coding skills, and design challenges to refine your skills as a creator and artist. Some of these challenges will be completed live on our twitch stream, so you can follow along and complete it with the community. We cannot wait to see all that you learn, build, and share.

Earn experience points for yourself by completing our challenges throughout GHW. Challenges aren’t the only way to earn points. You can also receive a point each time you check in for a live session, so the more you attend, the more points you’ll rack up. They can be as simple as posting on your social media or as advanced as building a project and creating a full demo video for it. We’ll leave it to you to choose which challenges you want to take on. Feel free to work collaboratively with others on these.
