Event Description
Join Astoria Tech Meetup for a 4-hour mini-hackathon celebrating Hacktoberfest 2026! We'll have food, swag, and maybe even some surprise tech giveaways :)
This year, Hacktoberfest is moving beyond pull requests. The focus is on meaningful learning and building with open source AI tools. Open source has always been about transparency and collective ownership, and we think AI should be no different.
Come build with us. You could write your first skills.md, spin up an open-source agent, fine-tune an open-weight model, or follow your curiosity somewhere else entirely. Beginners and experienced builders are equally welcome.
Bring a laptop and an idea (or find one when you get here).
Who can attend?
Locations have different requirements for who can attend. This location is open to the following:

6pm - arrive, grab some food, and get settled!
6:30pm - intro/welcome
9:15pm - demos/closing
10:00pm - finished!
