Event Description
AKI HACKS is a 12-hour, in-person hackathon that brings together students, developers, designers, and technology enthusiasts to build, collaborate, and turn ideas into working prototypes.
The hackathon follows an open innovation format, with no predefined tracks or restrictions on the problem domain. Participants are encouraged to identify a problem they care about and build a meaningful solution using the technologies of their choice. Projects across AI, Web Development, Web3, Mobile, Developer Tools, Education, Healthcare, Community Solutions, and other domains are welcome.
The event includes 8 hours of dedicated hacking time, along with registration, team setup, technical guidance, project demonstrations, judging, and closing activities.
Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. Participants are encouraged to form their own teams and register together. Those who do not have a team can also register individually, and the organizing team may help connect participants and facilitate team formation before the event.
Whether you are an experienced hackathon participant or joining your first one, AKI HACKS is an opportunity to learn, experiment, collaborate with other builders, and ship something you can be proud of.

Who can attend?
Locations have different requirements for who can attend. This location is open to the following:
Schedule
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM | Registration & Setup
Participant registration, check-in, team confirmation, workspace and laptop setup, networking, and the opening briefing. The hackathon rules, judging criteria, submission process, and other important instructions will also be shared during this time.
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Hacking Period
The official 8-hour hacking period begins. Teams of 2–4 members can work on any idea under the open innovation format. Participants will have access to mentors and organizers throughout the event for guidance and support.
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Project Showcase, Judging & Closing
Teams will submit and present their projects to the judges. This will be followed by project evaluation, winner announcements, team and group photographs, closing remarks, and venue pack-up.
8:00 PM | Event Concludes

After checking in at the event, all participants are encouraged to join the official AKI HACKS Discord server.
The Discord server will be used for event announcements, updates, team coordination, mentor communication, submission-related information, and other important communications before and during the hackathon.
