Event Description

For a 5th year in a row, fromScratch Studio proudly joins the worldwide Hacktoberfest event. This year's theme arrives loud and clear: AI belongs to everyone, and we are dedicating a whole day to prove it by making things together with open source AI.

Developers, designers, students, and all sorts of AI-curious minds: you are all welcome! Bring your laptop and your excitement to learn and try. No AI skills needed to join, but the more you have, the further you'll go.

We'll start our day with a full 60-minute session hosted by the Practical AI Thessaloniki meetup all about using coding agents in production systems: what brought us here, the ways you can put them to work, and an honest discussion on when vibe coding actually makes sense versus when it doesn't. Finally, we'll dig into what really happens when AI-built products go live with real users.

Right after that, you will be assigned to teams and randomly receive a fun product brief to work on for the next couple of hours, hands-on, from start to finish, using open source AI tools, putting everything we just talked about in practice.

And once we are all done, you will have three whole minutes to show us what you 've done, get the audience votes, and be crowned our Hacktoberfest 2026 winners (which is going to earn you more than the bragging rights!).
