Presented by NIT Hamirpur Chapter : GDG Ludhiana in partnership with Major League Hacking (MLH).
About the Event
Get ready to innovate, build, and connect! Hacktoberfest Hack day Hamirpur x GDG Ludhiana is a high-energy, one-day in-person mini hackathon hosted at NIT Hamirpur as part of Hacktoberfest, the world's largest celebration of open source.
This year's theme centers on open source and open-weight AI: models, tools, and agents that anyone can inspect, run, and build upon. It's a fast-paced collaborative day where you arrive in the morning, form a team, build a small, real-world project from scratch, and demo it that same afternoon.
Welcoming Freshers & Curious Minds!
A huge welcome to all freshers, first-year students, and complete beginners: you do NOT need to be a seasoned coder or have a background in AI to participate!
Whether you write code, design user interfaces, or are simply curious about open-source technology and how things work, there is a seat at the table for you. All you need to bring is your curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn in an inclusive, safe, and judgment-free environment.
What’s In It For You?
1. Prizes, Swag & Goodies: Inclusive tracks tailored for everyone, whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced coder, or someone who just wants to explore technology and build something fun.
2. Community Interaction & Tech Talks: Gain insightful knowledge through interactive workshops, expert-led talks, and peer sessions that break down open-source, developer tools, and modern AI.
3. Hands-on Mentorship & Portfolio Growth: Work side-by-side with experienced mentors who will help turn your ideas into a real, published GitHub repository, boosting your developer portfolio in just one day.
Who Can Attend?
1.Freshers & First-Time Contributors: Curiosity is the only prerequisite. We need no prior open-source experience needed!
2. Students, Developers, & Designers: From beginners writing their first lines of code to experienced builders pushing their limits.
3. Tech Enthusiasts: Anyone eager to collaborate, connect with peers, and experience real hackathon culture.
What You Will Do :
