Event Description
Hacktoberfest Hack Day Coimbatore is a full-day, in-person hackathon hosted by INIT Club and iDEA Club at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, in collaboration with Major League Hacking and sponsored by SkySync.
The event focuses on Open Source × AI, bringing students together to build original projects using open-source technologies, AI tools, and collaborative development.
Teams must consist of exactly 4 members.
All prize-eligible projects must be submitted through OrganizerHQ before the submission deadline. Projects will be evaluated based on implementation, technical execution, originality, effective use of AI or open-source technologies, and overall project quality.
Participants may install development environments, libraries, models, and dependencies beforehand, but the actual project must be built during the event.
Participants should bring a laptop and charger, have a GitHub account ready, and ensure their development environment is set up before the event.
Final results will be announced after judging and eligibility verification, including repository and OrganizerHQ submission checks.

Who can attend?
Locations have different requirements for who can attend. This location is open to the following:
Schedule
Event Schedule
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM — Hall Access & Check-in
OrganizerHQ check-in, team verification, primary-track confirmation, team-formation support, and setup assistance.
10:00 AM – 10:20 AM — Opening & Challenge Briefing
Welcome, Code of Conduct, event rules, Open-Source AI and Unplugged track requirements, OrganizerHQ submission process, judging format, and deadlines.
10:20 AM – 11:45 AM — Build Session I
Teams begin building with mentor support.
11:45 AM – 12:00 PM — Snacks
Snacks will be available while the build space remains open.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM — Build Session II
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM — Lunch
30-minute lunch service window. Teams may continue working if they wish.
1:30 PM – 3:45 PM — Build Session III
Development, testing, documentation, and demo preparation.
3:45 PM – 4:00 PM — Snacks / Refreshments
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM — Final Submission Window
One team member completes the OrganizerHQ submission while final refinements continue.
4:30 PM — Build & Submission Deadline
4:30 PM – 5:40 PM — Judging
Judging and project evaluations take place.
5:40 PM – 5:50 PM — Score Collection
Judges submit scores and the organising team begins shortlist and eligibility checks.
5:50 PM – 6:00 PM — Closing
Closing remarks, acknowledgements, and group photograph.
Results: Final results will be announced the following day after score, challenge-eligibility, repository, and OrganizerHQ verification.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM — Participant Dispersal & Organiser Wrap-up
