HackOctober Hack Day — OpenLake
Saturday, 10 October | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
OpenLake presents HackOctober Hack Day, a full-day event centred on agentic systems and model harnesses. The day opens with a hands-on workshop that builds the groundwork, followed by a main challenge in which participants apply what they have learned to design and implement a working harness of their own.

The day begins at 10:00 AM with a workshop on Agentic Harness, running until 12:30 PM. This session introduces how agents are structured, how tools and context are wired in, and how evaluation loops are set up, with participants following along through live examples.
Lunch is served from 12:30 PM to 1PM.
The Main Challenge on Model Harness runs from 1 PM to 5:30 PM. Over this four-hour build window, teams construct a model harness against a shared problem statement, with mentors available throughout.
The day closes with Discussions from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM, where teams present their approaches, share what worked and what did not, and wrap up with an open floor.
