Hacktoberfest is back, and the 2026 edition focuses on open source AI. Instead of counting pull requests, this year is about building with open source tools and open-weight models — and about getting local communities together to do it.
GoodBarber is hosting the Ajaccio Fest: an after-work evening at CampusPlex, in the heart of the city. A talk on open source and open-weight AI — why it matters and concrete ways to get started, whether that means writing your first skills.md, running an open model locally, or building a small agent. Then questions, drinks and time to talk with the people around you.
No conference format, no pitch: just an excuse to get everyone in the same room on a weekday evening. Whether you already contribute to open source or have only been curious about where to start, come along.
The talk will be in French; slides and shared resources will be in English so you can keep going with the wider Hacktoberfest community afterwards.
Free to attend. Registration recommended.
