Event Description

Hacktoberfest Hack Day x CYCODERS is a 12-hour open-source focused coding event organised by CYCODERS Club, School of Engineering & Technology, Adamas University, on 9th October 2026.
The event is designed to bring together students, developers, open-source contributors, working professionals, and technology enthusiasts to collaborate, build, and contribute to real-world open-source projects.

Participants will get hands-on exposure to Git, GitHub, collaborative development workflows, issue tracking, pull requests, documentation, project development, and open-source contribution practices. The event will also include partner challenge tracks, DEV Badge activities, mentoring, project development sprints, final submissions, demonstrations, and judging.
Throughout the day, participants will work individually or in teams to solve problems, improve existing open-source projects, or build new solutions while interacting with mentors and fellow developers. The event is suitable for both first-time contributors and experienced developers, with a strong focus on learning, collaboration, community building, and practical development experience.
With the theme “Code, Create and Defy Limits,” Hacktoberfest Hack Day x CYCODERS aims to strengthen the open-source culture within the student and developer community, encourage long-term participation in collaborative software development, and provide participants with an opportunity to showcase their skills through meaningful technical contributions.

The event will conclude with project demonstrations, judging, recognition of outstanding contributions, and a closing ceremony celebrating the participants, mentors, partners, and the open-source community.

CYCODERS is the official student-led computer science community of Adamas University, where curiosity meets code. We bring together hackers, builders, and learners across domains like full-stack development, AI/ML, and cybersecurity through hands-on workshops, hackathons, and collaborative projects. Home to the ACM, CSI, and Zero Day chapters, we run events like VibeForge and regular full-stack and cybersecurity sessions to help students build with purpose.
