At Info Support we have been hosting Hacktoberfest events for years now. Most events have been closed off, but this year is open to visitors! The goal of the day is to contribute to outstanding issues for open source projects. You can work on your own project, or help with one of the projects Info Support is closely sponsoring. We have maintainers for Maven, Stryker.js, Stryker.NET, Stryker4s, Helm-unittest and Dendrodocs on site to help with getting started on your open source contributions.
We encourage the use of (local, self hosted) AI, but it is not mandatory. You can work in whatever way you like.
Happy hacking!
Locations have different requirements for who can attend. This location is open to the following:
9:00 walk-in with coffee and cake
9:15 pitches for projects
9:30 start hacking
12:00 lunch
13:00 continue hacking
15:30 demos
16:00 end of the event
At Info Support, we give our people space to work on open source projects during working hours. We also regularly organize hackathons and other fun initiatives to contribute to these projects. In addition, we make sure that our open source projects get a lot of exposure, in part through marketing. And our engineers get help when it comes to licensing, intellectual property and other legal issues.See: https://www.infosupport.com/en/technology/open-source/
