Ready to build, experiment and ship something with open-source and open-weight AI?
Join us for a focused, in-person Hacktoberfest Hack Day Kuala Lumpur, powered by Major League Hacking (MLH), brought to you by Cradle, KrackedDevs and TalentLabs. Spend the day working with fellow developers, forming teams, exploring emerging AI technologies, and turning your ideas into working prototypes!
Whether you're an experienced developer, AI enthusiast, student, or someone looking to get more hands-on with open-source AI, this is an opportunity to learn by building, collaborate with the community, and showcase what you create.
🔥 What to Expect
- 4-hour Hack Sprint - Turn an idea into a working prototype with your team.
- Open-Source & Open-Weight AI - Explore the latest tools, models and agent technologies.
- Team Formation - Find your team members at the event. All teams will be randomly formed.
- Partner Challenges - Take on selected challenge tracks and build using eligible technologies.
- Project Demos - Finalist teams will get the opportunity to showcase their builds to the judges.
- Awards & Recognition - Standout projects will be recognised during the closing ceremony.
- Swag & Lucky Draws - Participants will also have opportunities to receive exclusive Hack Day, MLH, Cradle, TalentLabs and KrackedDevs swag.

The Hack Day will focus on open-source and open-weight AI, with opportunities to explore areas such as:
- Open-weight AI models and applications
- AI agents and agent skills
- Open-source AI tools and projects
- Local and edge AI
- AI-powered applications and developer tools

Your project could be anything from an AI-powered productivity tool, community application or creative experience to an agent, developer tool or experimental AI prototype.
The focus is simple: build something, learn something and share what you create.

This is a 100% in-person and free-to-attend event. Food, refreshments and opportunities to connect with fellow builders will be provided during the event.
