This year will mark the seventh year Fall Hacks has taken place at Simon Fraser University. Fall Hacks is an annual, beginner-first, 12 hour hackathon, intended to welcome new students into the world of competitive programming and foster the growing passions of recurring participants. Fall Hacks prioritizes the student experience in every way; from free workshops for attendees, to mentorship help throughout the event!
Students will be able to participate in a team to bring a project to life, utilizing programming and design skills. You'll be given 10 hours to brainstorm, develop, and present your projects to industry judges; developing real-world skills for a competitive job market.

Since its founding in the 1970s, the Computing Science Student Society has existed to promote the interests of students within the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University. The Society strives to support and build a vibrant community of individuals, currently representing 3000+ students, and to create an environment that produces social, academic, and professional success. The CSSS continues this tradition today by running numerous social events throughout the school year, as well as hosting workshops, talks by industry speakers, and development contests for budding programmers.
