Event Description
Ilmhona First MLH Hackathon is a one-day, in-person hackathon in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, built around a single theme: AI for Everyday Life.
Hackers of any background — from first-timers who've never written a line of code to experienced developers — are invited to build an AI-powered tool that solves a real, everyday problem: something that saves time, simplifies a routine, or makes daily life, learning, or work easier.
This is Ilmhona's first Major League Hacking (MLH) Member Event, held in partnership with Freedom IT Hub and Alif Academy. Expect a full day of building, mentorship, a hands-on AI workshop to help beginners get started, and a Google Gemini API challenge track. The day wraps up with live demos, judging, and awards across several prize categories — including Best Overall Hack, Best Beginner Hack, Best Design, Best Social Impact, and People's Choice.
No experience required. Just bring an everyday problem worth solving.

PHASE 1 — KICKOFF & IDEATION
09:00 – 09:30 — Check-in & registration
09:30 – 10:00 — Opening ceremony: theme & tracks
10:00 – 11:00 — Team formation & ideation: solo hackers find teammates at the team-matching board; teams lock in one project idea and get a quick sanity-check from a mentor.
PHASE 2 — MENTORSHIP & WORKSHOPS
11:00 – 12:00 — Workshop: Building with AI (Google Gemini / Google AI Studio)
12:00 – 13:00 — Lunch break
13:00 – 17:00 — Hacking time — mentors on the floor
15:00 – 15:30 — MLH mini-break
16:00 – 16:30 — Coffee break
PHASE 3 — SUBMISSION & JUDGING
17:00 — Hacking ends — projects submitted
17:00 – 17:15 — Judging setup
17:15 – 20:00 — Science-fair style judging — parallel judge panels visit each team's table
20:00 – 20:30 — Judges' deliberation & scoring (with mentor input)
PHASE 4 — CLOSING CEREMONY
20:30 – 21:00 — Award ceremony, closing celebration & networking
